The EkoNiva Group is the largest producer of raw milk in Russia and Europe and its ranks third worldwide. The Group was founded in 1994 by entrepreneur Stefan Duerr.
EkoNiva is a vertically integrated holding company that operates on the “from field to counter” principle. The Group’s enterprises are engaged in the selection and seed production. They grow feed for cows and produce raw milk, a significant part of which is processed into dairy products at the Group’s own factories.
EkoNiva operates enterprises in 39 Russian regions. The Group includes three separate holdings: agro-industrial, processing and technical ones.
The main activities of the EkoNiva-APK are dairy farming, breeding, selection, seed production, crop production, and organic agriculture. The holding is one of the five largest owners of agricultural land, with 632,400 hectares under its management.
